What does organic and natural mean?

An ingredient is classified as a natural ingredient if no part of that ingredient has been altered even with non-synthetic ingredients. Basically, an ingredient is organic if it is not genetically modified and is free from pesticides and chemicals. We always start with searching for a certified organic ingredient for our products. However, many small producers can not afford the high cost of certifying their ingredients although they adhere to organic standards. As we do use some uncertified “natural” ingredients, we are not 100% organic. However, you may feel confident in knowing we always choose and source organic ingredients whenever possible. On average our products contain 85-95% organic ingredients and each organic ingredient is indicated with an *asterix on the label.

Why should I choose your products over others?

At Fresh From The Earth Body Care we believe that Mother Nature has provided us with everything we need to keep our skin healthy and glowing. Our products are made in small batches and are always fresh. We only use ingredients that are grown without pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

I am allergic to some substances. Where do I find information on the ingredients in your products?

When you go to the product section, click on the product you are interested in. You will see a complete listing of the ingredients in that product.

Are your products suitable for vegans?

All of our oils and toners are 100% vegan. We mainly use plant-based ingredients. However, in our creams we do use pure organic beeswax as an emulsifier. Our Skin Serum contains marine collagen which is not considered vegan. Please let us know if you have a specific request. We are always willing to make a custom facial oil or other vegan product that would correspond with the ingredients in our current product line. Please note we would never consider testing any of our products on animals.

Since your products contain natural and organic ingredients, are there any special instructions regarding their use?

Our creams are “denser” than commercially produced skin care products. We recommend that you use them sparingly. A little goes a long way. Always use a toner with the moisturizers. Your skin will soak up the nourishment and you will end up using less cream. Wait approximately 10 minutes to allow the skin to absorb all this goodness.

Why are your moisturizers called Sunshine Moisturizers?

That’s an interesting question. When we developed the formulation, we took one look at the final result and “Sunshine” came to mind. A great way to start the day!

How long do your products last?

At room temperature they will last up to 6 months. Refrigerated they will last 1 year. We have not experienced any spoilage within the stated time frames.

I wear makeup. How does that work with your moisturizers?

After applying the toner and moisturizer in the morning, wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes to allow the skin to absorb the moisturizer. Only then should you apply makeup.

Since you do not use emulsifying agents, how do you prevent your creams from separating?

Actually, we do use beeswax and natural borax. These ingredients are natural emulsifiers. Should it ever occur that a small pool of liquid appears on top of the cream, just stir the cream and it will come together again. This does not affect the effectiveness of the product.
